La Perla

The Roaring Collection, the languid charme of the Roaring Twenties.
The new La Perla collection for the Fall/Winter 2011-2012 is inspired by the elegance of the 1920s. The photographer Mary Rozzi has been chosen to express the suggestion of this magic decade with a contemporary sensibility. This La Perla shooting sparked an immediate feeling between the photographer, the model, the art director, the stylist. This feminine team succeeded in creating an intimate and sophisticated atmosphere in the spaces of the wonderful Villa Necchi, located in the hearth of Milan.

Mary Rozzi is an American photographer based in Paris, New York and Los Angeles who works primarily in fashion, beauty and portraiture. She shoots for major publications as Vanity Fair, Elle, Instyle, Glamour as well as shooting campaigns for Ferragamo and L’Oreal. Mary’s focus is in exploring intimacy, encouraging accidents of natural light, quirks of personality and conveying a certain magic of stopping a moment in time.

The protagonist of the La Perla shooting is the Brazilian model Jeisa Chiminazzo who was launched, at the beginning of her career, by the shootings of Ellen von Unwerth e Mario Testino. Jeisa appeared in several international campaigns for Calvin Klein, Hermès, Karl Lagerfield and Chanel.

To the Roaring Collection has been dedicated the ephemeral website www.theroaringcollection.laperla.com that will be online from July the 15th 2011 to the end of the winter season. Exploring the website it will be possible to discover the new short movie directed by Mary Rozzi during the shooting and a suggestive image gallery dedicated to the new collection.
